BOŽIDAR PROSENJAK, born on 19 August, 1948 at Koprivnica. Graduated Romanic laguages from the Faculty of Arts in Paris and Zagreb.

In 1980 he set up the »Albatros« library at Velika Gorica and since then has been its editor. Since 1984 he works as free lance artist. He is a member of the Croatian Writers Association. Some of his writings have been translated into more than twenty world languages.

For his novel »Divlji Konj« (Wild Horse) he was awarded two prizes »Ivana Brlić Mažuranić« in 1989 and »Grigor Vitez« in 1989.
